Biography

John C. was a farmer’s helper. He lived for a good while in Preakness, N.J. He chewed tobacco and drooled a lot. On a visit to Montclair, N.J., (to visit his sister Maude) he appeared as a substantial citizen, wearing a fine blue suit. He died in Cottekill, New York, at the Socialist Relief Society Old People’s Home where he was in charge of the chicken coops. He was found dead of a heart attack.8
