Biography

Mary E. was born Dec. 24, 1915, at the Payne Street home. She was named Mary for Grandma Lincoln, and Elizabeth for Grandma Gazlay. She has blue eyes and curly hair. She resembles her father in looks and ways, but has the dimple in her chin, like her mother. She graduated from State Teachers College, Buffalo, N. Y. July 1st, 1939, she married Raymond Garden, a graduate of Colgate University. They have two children. Mary and Ray are both teaching on Long Island. They reside at Northport.2
