1. Oliver P. Hull,1 born 29 January 1813 (parents not determined).1 Oliver married, 22 October 1840, Hannah Clapp1 (born 17 August 1816, parents not determined1).

Hannah was well informed with regard to the genealogy of her family, and in all matters of family history; the records which she had gathered have been of much assistance in compiling The Clapp Memorial.1

Gazley7 (born 26 April 1836 in Clinton, Dutchess County, New York, the son of Elnathan Gazley and Sarah B. Wilbur;1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 Alonzo died 13 April 1908 in Fairport, Monroe County, New York10, 12). Alonzo is buried in Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Pleasant Plains, Dutchess County, New York.12

Alonzo was a merchant and postmaster in Mendon Centre, New York.7


+4i. Ernest Hull Gazley, born August 1863 in New York; died 27 December 1915 in Fairport, Monroe County, New York. Married Caroline E. ‘Carrie’ Whitcomb.
 5ii. Melville A. Gazley, born 6 November 1867 in New York;1, 2, 12, 13 died 15 September 1895 in Quebec, Canada.12, 13 Melville was a member of Typographical Union No. 6, the Typographical Society of New York; Fulton Council of the Royal Arcanum; Press Wheelmen, and president of a benefit association. He was unmarried and lived with his father and mother at 528 Koscuisko Street.13 Melville is buried in Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Pleasant Plains, Dutchess County, New York.12
+6iii. Estelle V. Gazley, born June 1873 in New York; died 2 November 1950 in Seneca Falls, Seneca County, New York. Married Roscoe Edgett Haynes.

3. Mary Emily Hull2 (Oliver1), born 24 July 1852;7 died 24 April 1932.14 Mary married, 7 February 1872, Dr. Reuben E. Phillips7 (born 23 November 1848 in York, Ontario, Canada, parents not determined;7, 14 Reuben died 9 November 1922 in Rochester, Monroe County, New York14).

Reuben was a well respected physician in Rochester, NY. Both Reuben and his wife Mary were Quakers.14


 7i. Bertha Hull Phillips, born 1876;14 died 1953.14 Bertha attended Swarthmore College, although she may not have graduated. She was a Registered Nurse in Rochester and was active in civic affairs. She apparently died of breast cancer according to the family.14

8. Irene Elizabeth Phillips3 (Mary,2 Oliver1), born 1884;24 died 21 May 1967.24 Irene married, 4 December 1911, Fred Callendar Moses24 (born 1882, parents not determined;24 Fred died 18 December 196724).

Irene attended several institutions of higher learning, including the University of California and the University of Rochester. She was the Acting Physical Director of Women at Rochester in 1909. She wrote “Rythmic Action Plays and Dance” in 1915. This book, though out of print, is still available on eBay and such sites.24

Both Fred and Irene were Quakers.24
