First Generation
1. Mary Emily Hull,1 born 24 July 1852, the daughter of Oliver P. Hull and Hannah Clapp;1 died 24 April 1932.2 Mary married, 7 February 1872, Dr. Reuben E. Phillips1 (born 23 November 1848 in York, Ontario, Canada, parents not determined;1, 2 Reuben died 9 November 1922 in Rochester, Monroe County, New York2).

Reuben was a well respected physician in Rochester, NY. Both Reuben and his wife Mary were Quakers.2


 2i. Bertha Hull Phillips, born 1876;2 died 1953.2 Bertha attended Swarthmore College, although she may not have graduated. She was a Registered Nurse in Rochester and was active in civic affairs. She apparently died of breast cancer according to the family.2
+3ii. Irene Elizabeth Phillips, born 1884; died 21 May 1967. Married Fred Callendar Moses.

Second Generation
3. Irene Elizabeth Phillips2 (Mary1), born 1884;1 died 21 May 1967.1 Irene married, 4 December 1911, Fred Callendar Moses1 (born 1882, parents not determined;1 Fred died 18 December 19671).

Irene attended several institutions of higher learning, including the University of California and the University of Rochester. She was the Acting Physical Director of Women at Rochester in 1909. She wrote “Rythmic Action Plays and Dance” in 1915. This book, though out of print, is still available on eBay and such sites.1

Both Fred and Irene were Quakers.1

5. Richard Phillips Moses3 (Irene,2 Mary1). Richard married Ruth Walker Moses1 (born ____, parents not determined).

6. Elizabeth ‘Biz’ Moses3 (Irene,2 Mary1), born ca. 1928;2 died 21 January 2013 in Medford Leas, Medford, Burlington County, New Jersey.2 Biz married Charles Crabbe ‘Charley’ Thomas, Sr. (born ____, parents not determined; Charley died 19922).

Elizabeth was an occupational therapist in Philadelphia and South Jersey.1
