Summer Visitor at Sconset Drowned.

Nantucket, Mass., Aug 26--At Sconset. Reginald Gazlay, twenty-four years of age. who had been visiting Major J. M. Wright of Louisville, Ky., and who was an expert swimmer, went into the water yesterday, though the sea was very rough and bathing was pronounced unsafe. He swam a long distance, but before he could reach the shore he became exhausted.

Ewing Speed, another of the Summer visitors here, started out after him. He succeeded in getting him almost ashore, but before he could get through the heavy surf he became exhausted. Assistance came from shore and Speed was saved, but all efforts failed to restore life to young Gazlay.
