Born 20 March 1812 in Sennitt, Cayuga County, New York, she married Daniel Papineau of Wayne County, New York when she was about twenty years of age. Two daughters, Jeannette and Henrietta (Mrs. W. She was also deeply religious, an active and earnest Unitarian.
