Riverview Cemetery, South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, Nelson Delbert Crippin, born: 12 May 1879 in Buchanan, Berrien County, Michigan; died: 18 October 1911 in Portage Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana (from record, which includes a copy of his death certificate [that shows his birth date as 6 May, not 12 May; and his death place as South Bend]; and provides the names and links for his parents and wife).
  2. Note: Nelson’s death certificate (as shown in his Findagrave record) indicates his birth date as 6 May 1879, but it is believed his birth year is actually 1878, although his birth record has not been found. His sister Cora M. Crippen was born on 12 May 1879 according to her birth record (she apparently died infancy after 1880), and no other Crippen child is shown in the same record around the same date. Also, Nelson was not known to be a twin.
