Gazley (50, New York, cigar maker); wife Jane Gazley (48, New York); son George Gazley (26, New York, printer); daughter Elizabeth Gazley (24, New York, school teacher); daughter Ida Gazley (19, New York, dress maker); daughter Mattie Gazley (13, New York); son Frank Gazley (11, New York); mother [actually mother-in-law] Sophia Davids (73, New York, widow).
  4. New York State Census, 1892, Kings County, Brooklyn, 3rd Election District of the 25th Ward, Page 16, family of George E. Gazley (42 [undoubtedly should be 62], book keeper); George E. Gazley, Jr. (40); Lillie Gazley (21); Ida Gazley (20); Walter Gazley (19, clerk); Jane Gazley (17). The identities of Lillie, Ida, Walter, and Jane have not been determined. They are not shown in any other records. George, Jr., was known to have married but it seems unlikley that these are his children. It may be that Lillie, Ida, Walter, and Jane are siblings of George Jr., and that their ages are grossly misstated here.
