Biography
Almira is the daughter of Henry Jayhue Williamson and Luella Courter, as shown in her marriage record, which also shows Almira’s name as Almira Acord. Almira was apparently adopted by Morton and Alice (nee Keen) Acord, although the reason is unknown. According to census records, Alice had no children of her own, and her obituary does not list any children among her survivors. Marriage records for several of Almira’s children show her name as Almira Acord, while others list her as Almira Williamson. Her obituary shows her parents’ names as Martin [sic] and Alice Kean Acord. Alice is the sister of Almira’s husband, Albert E. H. Kean, meaning that Almira married her adoptive uncle.1, 6
