Mary Munn,1 born ____ (parents not determined); died 30 September 1849.1 Mary married, 4 December 1734, Captain John Lewis1 (born 14 April 1711, the son of Joseph Lewis and Sarah Andruss;1 John died 24 February 17992). John is buried in Oak Street Cemetery, Naugatuck, New Haven County, Connecticut.2

John Lewis, who died Feb. 24th 1799, in the 88th year of his age. Also Mrs. Ame (Smith) Lewis who died Sept. 26 1796 in her 76th year.”

3. Captain John Lewis, Jr.2 (Mary1), born December 1740.1 John married, 17 November 1763, Sarah Gordon1 (born ____, parents not determined).

John Lewis, Jr., was a captain in the Revolution.1

It is likely he, and not his father, who is cited in various publications as having served in the Revolutionary War.
