1. David G. Crippen,1 born ca. 1847 in Michigan, the son of Sterling A. Crippen and Karinda Gazlay;1, 2, 3, 4, 5 died 17 May 1913 in Delaware Township, Leavenworth County, Kansas.6, 7 David is buried in Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, Kansas.6

David was a private in E Company, 12th Michigan Infantry, 15 February 1865 to 22 May 1865. He was discharged with a general disability for various medical conditions. Because of his military-related disabilities, he was a resident in US National Homes for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers five times, the last in Delaware Township, Kansas, where he died. He was buried in nearby Leavenworth National Cemetery.7
