Ruie was a native of Winslow, Illinois. She was a member of the San Antonio Women’s Club, Central Christian Church, and San Antonio Music Club.7

Henry was a court reporter in San Antonio for 40 years, as cited in several census records and his obituary. Several court judges served as pall bearers at his funeral.14
