DeCamp;1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 Herbert died 11 October 1951 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri9). Maymie is buried in Lake Cemetery, Lamar, Barton County, Missouri.2

Mamie grew up in Lamar, Missouri, and graduated high school at the top of her class in 1890. She was a teacher in the Logan or Franklin schools. After marriage, Mamie and Herbert Laycox moved to Joplin, Missouri. Mamie was known as a good Christian woman, intelligent teacher and faithful friend.2
