LaRue married, third, 1944 in Cook County, Illinois, Walter A. Roung8, 13 (born 11 December 1895 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, parents not determined;10, 11, 12 Walter died 28 June 1964 in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky11, 12). Larue’s mother died when she was only a year or two old. Larue was “adopted” (possibly not legally) and raised by her aunt and uncle, Robert and Arabelle (née Thompson) Crippin. Larue’s children regarded Robert and Arabelle as grandparents.14
