Charles is buried in Osage Cemetery, Osage, Mitchell County, Iowa.6

Lovisa’s name is found as Lovica, Lovisa and Louisa in various records. Her date of death has not been confirmed. She may have died in childbirth, since her youngest child, Ella A. Owen, was possibly born in March 1862 (although her exact date of birth has not been determined).5
