Van Osdale and Alice Blackwell;2, 3 Lillian died 19601). Vernie and Lillian are buried in Brighton Township Cemetery, Brighton, Lorain County, Ohio.1

Lillie was allegedly placed in an orphanage after her mother died in 1875. She is listed as seven year old Lillie A. Kelsey in the 1880 census, living with Zenas H. Kelsey and his wife Mary A. Kelsey. In several later records she is listed as Lillie Kelsey.2, 3

Her place of birth here Huntington, differs from other later sources that indicate Spencer, Medina County, Ohio; Huntington and Spencer are about 7 miles apart. Also, her mother’s maiden name here, Hutchinson, differs from other later sources, that indicate Auble. Her mother may have remarried at some point.
