1. Nathan Tefft,¹ born ca. 1790, the son of Ezekiel Tefft and Amie Wilcox.^{1, 2}

One source indicates that “Nathan...followed a sea-faring life and was a mate on a privateer in the war of 1812, the last ever heard of him when he sailed for the British coast in 1815.”²

This paper presents research on Stephen Tefft, who lived in Rhode Island and Connecticut, eventually settling in Jewett City, Griswold, Connecticut. The research indicates that Stephen was a son of Ezekiel Tefft and his wife Amie (or Amy) Wilcox.
