Benjamin lived in Middletown, Connecticut. He was one of the fourteen volunteers from Middletown in the expedition against against Canada in 1707. His will, dated Jan. 5, 1751, mentions wife Hannah, sons Elijah, Cornelius and Benjamin, daughter Rachel and her son John Cotton, stepdaughter Hannah Willard, daughter of his present wife. His estate amounted to £9000.1
