Walter is buried in Comstock Cemetery, Montville, New London County, Connecticut.1

Walter served in the U. S. Army in the Korean War. He worked for the Town of Montville and Curran Construction. Walter was member of several organizations, including the Montville Fire Company, American Legion Posts in Montville and New London, and the Veterans of Foreign War Post in Montville.1
