Their marriage ended in divorce in 1989 in New London, New London County, Connecticut.4 Russell married, second, 20 April 2004 in Montville, New London County, Connecticut, Sukdai Molly Ali5 (born 23 November 1952, parents not determined2).

Russell served honorably in the U. S. Army. He was a 911 emergency dispatcher for the Town of Montville, and a life member of the Monville Fire Company. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating. Water sports were his passion and he spent a lot of time on the Thames River.1
