Biography

George, likely named for his father, is presumed to have died before 1890 since he does not appear with his family in the 1881 Scotland Census nor in the 1890 immigration record that shows his mother and two siblings (Nellie and John). Also, the 1900 US Census shows that his mother Euphemia had a total of 4 children with only 2 living.
