Biography

David preferred using his middle name. His first name is his mother’s maiden name. He served in the U.S. Navy as a radarman in World War II on two heavy cruisers, the Boston and the Portland, both in the Pacific. He was stationed aboard the battleship Missouri when the peace treaty was signed with Japan. Afterward, David was a glass assembler for the Scientific Glass Corporation in Bloomfield, New Jersey, before retiring in 1973. David and Gladys had no children.8
