Biography

George died while in Galveston attending the funeral of his mother-in-law, Mary Arnold. He was born in Houston, and was associated with the Southern Pacific Railroad. George was a charter member of Lodge No. 1, Knights of Pythias in Houston, and a member of Woodmen of the World, a fraternal benefit society that provides life insurance to its members. He was survived by his wife and his son U. W. Gazley.11
