Their marriage ended in divorce. Samuel married, second, 7 August 1920 in Montville, New London County, Connecticut, Emma Williams6 (born 5 December 1897, the daughter of Willett Williams and Fanni Thompson;4, 5 Emma died 30 May 1973 in East Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut4, 5). Samuel is buried in Comstock Cemetery, Montville, New London County, Connecticut.2 Emma is buried in Maplewood Cemetery, Norwich, New London County, Connecticut.4
