Joann Victoria Haynes,¹ born 14 September 1938, the daughter of John Elsworth Haynes and Magna Victoria Englund.¹ Joann married, 1 September 1956 in Montville, New London County, Connecticut, Harold Francis Chapel⁴ (born 1 December 1927 in Montville, New London County, Connecticut, the son of Robert William Chapel and Rose Anna Garrett;² Harold died 4 December 2006 in New London, New London County, Connecticut³). Their marriage ended in divorce in 1986 in Connecticut.⁵ Harold is buried in Comstock Cemetery, Montville, New London County, Connecticut.²

Harold worked at Robertson Paper Box in Montville and stayed on as a consultant for many years when it changed to Rand Whitney. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Harold was a member of the American Legion Post 0112 in Montville. He had many musical talents.^{2, 3, 6}
